Pushbullet is a free app that brings together or synchronizes multiple devices such as your desktop, tablet and smartphone. It manages your mobile device notifications, reminders, text messages, and lots more by sending them to your computer.
Notifications show up on your screen’s bottom right. Upon receiving a text, you would see the notification on your desktop, tablet and smartphone. When a notification is dismissed on your desktop computer, you would also be dismissing the notification on your other devices. It is quite possible for you to have too many notifications on your desktop courtesy Pushbullet. Fortunately, there is the option to silent desktop notifications for certain or all apps. For instance, you could mute Hangout notifications if those are already showing up on your desktop.
Links and File Transfer
You may also transfer links and files with Pushbullet. This feature comes in handy if you read articles a lot on a particular device and move on to another device. With Pushbullet, you need not email those links to yourself. Just right-click the specific web page, select Pushbullet, and choose the device you would like the link to be sent to. If you’re on a mobile device, just tap the menu option instead of right-clicking. To share desktop files, you could drag and drop them into the application. Choose the file you want to share and select Pushbullet. The app certainly makes it easy to sign into websites that have two-factor authentication in place.
